At the age of 33, Mr Danilo Canos worked as the head of operations in Cheng Enterprises. The company was involved in supplying and exporting sea animals including crabs, fishes, eel, etc. Being the head of operations made him accountable to a lot of things including the communication with the then clients, cargo companies, airport officials.
During his stay in the company he witnessed issues and overcame problems. He was the one who needs to come up with explanations whenever deliveries were late, there were times that he needed to leave at 2am or earlier in their home because the company needs him. All throughout his life working, he didn't waste the chance the learn more about the industry and get network as he could.
Mr. Danillo Canos grew up in the province of
Cotabato, he took
Business Administration but was not able to graduate. Because of his
hard work and proven trustworthy, the couple who owned the company made him the head for the entire operations.
He doesn't have a broad idea on how to do business, but all his life working, he didn't waste the opportunity to be better. Being a father of 2 during those years, he needed to work most of the times just for his wife and kids to have food.
In his 12 years working in the company, he realized he wanted to have his own business because during that year of 2003, the company was facing crisis. Little by little he bought 2-3 cartons of crabs everyday, without the knowledge of the company. He did
buy and sell and with the network he was able to build, his clients helped him to achieve his dream.
The company faced crisis and it needs to cut down workers, Mr. Danilo left the company. With the money he saved, he continued to get few cartons of crabs from Surigao and then a year after, he was able to build a partnership with his good friend in Surigao.
At present, Mr. Danilo now had opened
3 market spaces in different wet markets, made employment and hired his relatives,and have been supplying crabs to various well-known restaurants such as
Vikings, Tong Yang, Seafood Island, etc. Mr. Danilo's focus right now is for his sons and daughters to graduate. He has 2 sons and 1 daughter graduated from reputable colleges in Manila.
